Suffer Good

When you enter into a season of suffering, the best way to approach it is to keep it simple: Suffer Good!

As a Christian in right standing with God, not living in deliberate sin, and have a clear conscience with both God and man, the best way to handle a season of suffering – is to commit yourself fully to God with the same intensity that the suffering might bring. Meet it by seeking God in a deeper way ‘head on’.

In the sovereignty of God, He has allowed whatever suffering you are going through and He has set a season for it. More than this however, He has a purpose for your suffering. He is working a far deeper purpose that you cannot possibly know right now. This doesn’t mean that you didn’t make some decisions that brought on the suffering, it simply means that your ‘mess’ cannot cause God to ‘miss’ His overall purpose and plan for your life.

Romans 8:28 KJV
[28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

With the authority of this scripture, it is both encouraging and empowering for us to suffer good because ALL things work together for our good! We have to remind ourselves that we are broken, fallen sinners that have been saved by grace and are now the sons and daughters of God. We are working out our salvation in fear and trembling and that He loves us with perfect love.

Keep you heart in the love of God and remember to maintain a spirit of forgiveness towards others. Most sufferings are not without other people being involved in one way or another. Therefore, be vigilant to keep you heart clear and free and allow God’s mercy to rule your heart and mind.

These above positional truths are all scriptural and serve to empower us to know that not a second of our existence is in vain nor is our sufferings.

Suffer good and when it has passed – it would have worked the righteousness of God in your life in a deeper more profound way. Let it fuel your passion for God and in so doing its purpose is fulfilled and your deliverance shall break forth like the noon day sun!
